417. Check the farmers

Zase jednou jeden, který zní lépe v originále...
It was the time of the Soviet Union, communism and control were natural aspects of the everyday life. One day, there was a Tupolev 154 on short final to Oslo Airport. 
There is a big field of acres close to the runway, and the tower controller alerted the pilots: 
"Check the farmers on the right side of the runway" 
"They are all working" the soviet pilot responded with a clear Russian accent.

Check - v angličtině především kontrolovat, ale v letectví také "sledovat, dávat pozor, hlídat si". 

Éra studené války. Neustálý dohled a kontroly byly pro komunistické země něčím zcela běžným. Jednoho dne se takhle blíží k letišti v Oslu ruské Tu-154. Těsně u dráhy bylo pole, a tak dispečer z věže upozorňoval piloty:
"Sledujte farmáře po pravé straně ranveje."

"Všichni pracují," odpověděl pilot s čistě ruským přízvukem.
